Hello, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), with extensive training in Emotional Focused therapy and trauma informed modalities of therapeutic interventions. I also have completed the training curriculum for a CACIII addiction certificate, working with individuals, couples and families struggling with a variety of addiction issues.

In addition, in 2018, I will be completing my national qualifications for becoming a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) with the National Association for Play Therapy.

My undergraduate degree is in Business Administration, concentration in Marketing and a second major in Psychology. After spending 27 years climbing the corporate Fortune 500 ladder with organizations such as Xerox, SUN, Oracle and IBM, in a variety of Sales and technical positions I have now combined this career and life experiences into my private practice of helping individuals, couples and families balance their work, family and emotional health goals and expectations. I have also raised two children who are now 26 and 22 and have a beautiful 5 year old granddaughter who we have the privilege of spending as much time as possible with in our spare time! My life journey has included single parenting, marriage, remarriage, divorce, major illness and recovery, midlife career change, trauma, discrimination in the work force, on and off the "mommy track", coaching and mentoring thru and up the corporate ladder of organizations while balancing home and health, and launching several successful businesses including a therapy practice which has been my passion in life.

My dedication to education, training, and years of life and therapeutic experience have given me the skills necessary to bring careful understanding, compassion, and expertise to each client's unique needs. I take my responsibility seriously and find the therapy process meaningful, rewarding, humbling, always intriguing. I look forward to working with each new client and family system. Together we can create an experience that will help solve problems and encourage personal growth; it can be life-transforming when working in a Collaborative process.

My training, career path, and specialties have involved my own psychotherapy, intensive study in attachment theory, emotionally focused therapy, structural family therapy, neuro-affective biology and a number of integrative psychotherapy practices, ongoing supervisory and peer consultation groups. I have trained with Jim Thompson , a renowned couple therapist, who is an approved therapist and trainer with Sue Johnson, the founder of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT) and studied his collaborative couple therapy work, as well as training in EFT both individuals and couples. In addition, I combine my EFT work with Brent Atkinson's Pragmatic/Experiential Therapy for Couples and Individuals, neurobiology and emotional intelligence therapy to help couples structurally and practically build day to day practices and experiences and new neural pathways of connections to reestablish positive ways of being in relationships. My practice features a pluralistic approach designed to draw on the most effective methods of interventions for success in helping clients reach their goals as individuals, couples or within a family system.
